Cycling

Fancy yourself as the next Alex Dowsett? Cycling is a great way to get out in the fresh air and explore new places. As well as helping to clear your mind and de-stress, it really gets the heart pumping. You can meet new people through a group, and if you’re feeling really adventurous, you could try going off-road.

But how do I get involved?

Visit British Cycling to find your local club. Learn more in the dedicated section for young people.

Participating in sport has given me a huge number of opportunities in my life and I don’t know where I’d be without it. Cycling, compared with other sports, takes the weight off my joints and it’s brilliant for looking after my haemophilia.

Ross, 25

Cycling has been a real-life achievement for me because I can do new things now, like going further and seeing my friends.
