Going on a run is not only an amazing workout that improves your fitness and stamina - being outside is also a great way to de-stress. You can go by yourself or with a friend for free, or even join a local running or athletics group to meet like-minded runners.

But how do I get involved?

Find a running group near you in England at Run Together or in Scotland at Jog Scotland. If you're feeling competitive you can find a race near you.

There's a number of running disciplines to choose from at England Athletics and find your local club at British Athletics.
